Jacob J. Walker at a Glance
Jacob J. Walker is the founder and Chief System Architect of the Effective Education Projects, which seeks to build improved educational system using a multi-disciplinary/systems-thinking approach. Jacob also dabbles in music, art, economics, political theory, philosophy, mathematics, and science. He was a founding entrepreneur of Psyberware Communications, and Chairperson of Career and Technical Education at Twin Rivers Adult School. He has taught courses in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, computer technician skills, leadership, and health informatics. In 2010 he was recognized as Teacher of the Year for Twin Rivers Adult School.
Jacob has recently enrolled in the University of South Africa's Doctor of Education program, with a current major in Comparative Education. Jacob previously received his Master of Education degree in Brain-Based Teaching through the BrainSMART program with Nova Southeastern University. He holds an General Studies Bachelors of Science with individualized studies in Education, Technology and Systems from Charter Oak State College and also an Associates Degree in Computer Science.
Jacob has served on several committees to improve the quality and effectiveness of education, including being part of the Western Association of Schools and College, Accrediting Commission for Schools (WASC ACS), Postsecondary Advisory Committee, to assist in the revision of the Postsecondary Accreditation Protocol. He also has served on the committees involved in revising the educational content standards for information and communications technology (ICT) for the state of California.
