No one can make you feel inferior without your consent

While ascribed to Eleanor Roosevelt, she probably said something similar but not exactly this. Another quotographer found that it likely came from a statement of hers at a press conference.  (And which I found in what claims to be The 10 Most Inspiring Education Quotes of All Time)

There is much wisdom in the idea expressed by Eleanor Roosevelt, although I would not classify it as purely an “Education Quote”.  And, our emotions are not always controllable by pure reason…  But, the more we recognize the truth of this quote, the easier to not feel inferior in any situation…
