Quote of the Day: “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow.”

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow.

I thought this quote from Mary Anne Radmacher, in her book Live Boldly: Cultivate the Qualities that can Change Your Life, was apropos for the day, given that yesterday I was sick and didn’t post a Quote of the Day.  So today I am trying again 🙂

This week I will be sharing a loose theme of quotes about quality improvement.  And while today’s quote may be more personal in nature than the systemic view that quality gurus, such as Deming, espoused, I think it can be argued easily that any systemic change must start with a change of our own personal thinking and in our own personal attitudes.  And the first step is the courage to improve, and try again when we at first don’t succeed.
