Thought of the Day: “Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither”

with one comment

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

– Benjamin Franklin

While the original quote was in a context that is hard to say whether it meant what it seems to say on its surface, I am sure that Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and our other Founding Fathers would be appalled by the rise of Donald Trump.   Tump’s “promise” of safety, at the price of giving up our liberty and rights, is the appeal of fascism, not that of a thoughtful democracy.

  1. Boy is your thinking FLAWED on this issue. Sad, very very sad.

Trump is not asking us to give up our rights. He is demanding that Illegal Aliens and Muslim Terrorists invading our country give up theirs. Big difference.

Our constitution says we have the right to protect our borders. Our constitution grants rights only to citizens and not to foreigners.

There’s a great new Video about your hero Hillary that you need to see. Here’s the link with more info:
